The energy centers of the body are called chakras , i.e. the nodes where the complex energy channels in the human body meet. The term “chakra” comes from Sanskrit and means “wheel” or “circle”. There are seven main chakras and a number of smaller secondary chakras. Each of the seven main chakras provides energy to specific areas of the body.
